Maéli Paris, a fashion brand for happy and committed women
Amélie Samson, a graduate of the double degree Audit-DSCG (class of 2018), created her company in January 2022.
After 5 years spent in finance as a financial auditor at EY and as a financial controller at Quitoque, she decided to leave her permanent job to devote herself to her two passions: fashion and social issues.
Amélie created @maeliparis, a brand of fashion for women who are happy and committed to wear or sew.
Its mission? To reconcile fashion, social issues and environment.
Passionate about sewing since she was 10, Amélie designs and creates the models. She then hunts for old curtains in recycling centres and transforms them into beautiful sweaters. The production is done in France in a women's cooperative or in a professional reintegration workshop. She also offers the possibility to create your own version with her offer for seamstresses. She offers for sale the pattern of her model and will set up sales of second-hand fabrics/merchandise and upcycling sewing workshops from next April!
She is currently running a crowdfunding campaign on Ulule. This campaign aims to launch her activity and the beginning of her adventure. If you want to get involved with her for a more responsible textile industry and participate in this beautiful project, do not hesitate to visit her page, participate or simply share the information around you.
