"If you have a desire...when in doubt, make it happen!"
Find out more about Ines' background and motivations
Can you introduce yourself in a few words?
My name is Ines, I grew up in Casablanca and then studied in Paris, Toulouse and Alajuela, Costa Rica.
I moved to Barcelona in 2016 after living several years in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Traveling and the passion for cultural differences are a fundamental part of my life, both personally and professionally.
Why did you choose TBS for your studies? Tell us about your student experience at TBS!
The Master's program at TBS interested me because it offered double degrees abroad, especially in South America, which I was particularly interested in.
When I passed my orals, I felt immediately welcomed. The students and the staff were friendly, the atmosphere was soft and joyful.
Can you tell us about your student life at TBS ?
My student life on campus was quite short as I only stayed one year and four months in Toulouse before going abroad.
It was short but intense. It was during these years that I built my adult life and met the group of friends who are still part of my life today.
Do you have any anecdotes to share about your class? (Student associations, projects, teachers...)
In my last year, I chose "Online Management" as a major option, which at the time was related to digital marketing.
We were a class of 16 or 17 people with 80% men. Our class was perceived as the geeks of the school.
I loved this course because there were only a few of us and we had the opportunity to meet speakers who are now influential people in the digital ecosystem in Europe.
What are you doing today and how did you get to this point in your professional career?
After working in digital strategy in agencies and at American Express in Buenos Aires, I co-founded a marketing agency in 2016 that specializes in creating international digital visibility: UNION ATLANTICA.
We accompany brands to generate online visibility through digital marketing: we are about ten people to deal with the definition of the strategy to its concrete implementation.
My partner and I designed our agency in accordance with our lifestyle and that of our employees: we are all remote, from different cultures with a common value: adaptability.
In what way did you enter the workforce after graduation? What were your motivations?
My goal has always been to have a job where I don't feel like I'm working, with a minimum of constraints.
Why did you choose this job, this project?
I chose this sector because I love the digital world and the internet ecosystem. I like to accompany people, to help them in their reflection and especially to bring concrete solutions.
Moreover, I was looking for a flexible job that evolves with time. Not a static and too structured job.
Has the Alumni network been a support for you? If so, how did it help you?
When I arrived in Spain in 2016 without knowing anyone, I immediately went to the Alumni office in Barcelona.
The association allowed me to meet new people and build a new network, both professional and personal.
What advice would you give to TBS Alumni, students or graduates who would like to have the same type of career as yours?
If you have a desire... when in doubt, make it happen! Don't regret your path, and adapt it according to your desires at a given moment in your life.
