Florent LIÉNARD (TBS 2016) - Héro, recycled clothing brand made in France : new collection on pre-order
100% natural, unisex and Made in France
Florent founded his company in 2018 by launching a recycled clothes range called Héro.
His objective
Provide a radical alternative to fast fashion with classic pieces for all wardrobes that are longlasting, made in France and which respect the environment.
Héro : The story
Héro started on Ulule in September 2019 with a round-collared sweatshirt made from 100% recycled material and plastic bottles. In November 2020, the young brand produced an entirely recycled hoody sweatshirt, followed by socks. All three items were very popular which was an encouraging sign for the future.
Héro has every intention of going further.
That is the reason why the brand has launched a second Ulule campaign which is underway as you read.
For this new clothes range, Héro intends to change tacks and offer clothing that is made entirely out of natural fiber and can be totally recycled. After many months of research, the ideal fabric was finally identified : 100% cotton with 60% recycled recycled cotton and 40% BCI cotton. For a tee shirt weighing 200g like the ones by Héro, this thread is produced with 79% less water than organic cotton and 75% less than standard cotton.
For every purchase, 3 people have access to drinking water
Héro is aware of the damage done by the textile industry and is concerned with social causes. That is why the young French brand helps fund access to drinking water for 3 people in Burma each time one tee shirt is purchased. Héro works hand in hand with the association, PASDB, to build rain-water filtering systems. Héro considers water as a precious resource and there is a play on words meaning Air-Water (eau in French) in their brand name.
The brand new range of tracksuit bottoms, sweatshirts and tee shirts made in France can be pre-ordered on Ulule until 22nd May, click on image here below : ⤵️
