YEYE is an eyewear brand born of the desire to create something with our own hands, and of an observation: in France, over 77% of us wear glasses, yet over 95% of them are produced on the other side of the planet. Astonishing, isn't it?
YEYE is about getting back to basics, by embracing ethical, sustainable and human values. Offering eyewear made in France (certified Origine France Garantie), in eco-responsible materials at fair prices. The ranges are timeless and mixed. They last through the seasons, one after the other, without ever going out of fashion.
And what if this was what renewal was all about? Learning to backtrack and never letting anything go out of style.
We really want to unite our community around slow fashion and get back to basics.
Founder Stéphanie MAUDHUY (TBS Education 2013) created YEYE in 2021, after working in the purchasing department at startups and large companies.
"The birth of my first child made me drop everything for a single objective: to back-pedal in order to be more present."
For her, it's essential to keep our freedom, to stay as close as possible to the operational side of things and to the end consumer, to do what makes us tick from the inside and without any outside pressure.
For Stéphanie and YEYE, it's about "producing less, but better", to go against the grain of today's consumer society, but in line with the future values we're going to have to put in place to preserve our environment.
Inevitably, we'll go slower, but will it necessarily be less good?
