15 June 2023 Portraits / Podcasts

Read below about Christel MASCHERONI ( TBS Education 2016), an alumnus who has never stopped pursuing her dreams.

From manager to entrepreneur to flight attendant, she has always managed to combine work and passion. Today, she has created Beyo, a committed fashion brand that combines escapism, respect for the planet and fashion. Christel's aim is to sublimate a committed, free and daring woman who loves fashion, the planet and travel. Discover her story, from her Master's degree in Management at TBS Education to the creation of her brand.

Throughout her career, Christel has never stopped improving her skills.

Christel began her career as a boutique manager in the women's ready-to-wear sector. She saw the arrival of fast fashion and was no longer in phase with what she was being asked to do and accept.

In 1998, Christel decided to change her life. All she wanted to do was travel. But how could she travel without being rich? After a few steps, Christel became a flight attendant with Air France. She's blossoming and loves her job.

A few years later, she became a mother and began to wonder about the next step in her professional career. She therefore decided to go back to school, as she had a scientific baccalaureate, and decided to do an AES (Administration Economique et Sociale) degree at the University of Toulouse, which she obtained with honors.

In 2014, Christel was admitted to TBS Education to complete the PGE alongside her job as a flight attendant. She successfully manages her life as a mother ( 2 young children ), her life as a flight attendant and her life as a student. This requires a great deal of organization and flexibility, but she loves studying and her children support her with pride.

Christel chose TBS Education for her career change because she wanted to be an entrepreneur. Christel has always had a strong environmental conscience, and she wanted to get involved in a creative project that would make sense from both an environmental and a human point of view. She was very surprised to discover TBS Education's real commitment to CSR. She discovered the ANEDD during her PGE and fully embraced the project.

Little by little, an idea germinated and her project took shape: Christel wanted to make an impact and change things.

In 2018, the project took shape. Inspired by her values, what she loves and her travels, she wanted to create and market ethical dresses to sublimate flight attendants on stopovers. For a whole year, Christel focused on creating her first product.

In 2020, with the support of TBSeeds, Christel created Beyo. At a time when France is being held back by the Covid-19 pandemic, Christel is seizing great opportunities, in particular to find her fabrics, create the first prototypes or get in touch with designers. Thanks to TBSeeds, she benefited from a wealth of support and was put in touch with key players who helped and guided her, such as Camille Le Gal, co-creator of Fairly Made.

"TBSeeds was a real boost to the creation of my structure, via quality workshops, coaching and networking with textile industry players. All this helped me gain confidence in myself and in my project."

Christel's mission is to democratize circular fashion with elegance.

To do this, she decided to develop her brand in Paris and then become desirable in Toulouse. Thanks to the network she developed at TBSeeds, she was able to join the network of a Parisian incubator, La Caserne. La Caserne is the largest ecological transition gas pedal dedicated to the fashion and luxury sector in Europe. A benevolent universe in which she surrounds herself with entrepreneurs and industry professionals. Christel is very committed to her project and wants to develop her brand in an environmentally-friendly way, throughout the entire value chain. She is currently looking for a partner who shares her mission, vision and Beyo values.

Beyo, a fast-growing brand close to the fashion of tomorrow

Beyo is a women's fashion and escapism brand that is both committed to and respectful of the planet. Three key values:

- Boldness through design and color. This reflects femininity and letting yourself be yourself,

- Transparency throughout the creation and marketing process,

- Respect, both for the environment and for everyone involved in the manufacturing process.

Beyo's mission is to democratize desirable circular fashion. The concept has been carefully thought through in order to minimize environmental impact. The products on offer are creations or co-creations made in France. In fact, Christel works constantly with young designers who are firmly rooted in their times, using committed, upcycled, biosourced materials, and locally manufactured (production workshops in the Tarn region). Beyo's colorful collections of dresses and accessories are available online and in selected pop-up stores in Paris.

If you're a stylist or designer who shares Beyo's values, don't hesitate to get in touch with Christel.

The brand will soon present its environmental score. In order to be as transparent as possible, Beyo wishes to communicate its societal and environmental impact in the form of a score.

Beyond the creation and marketing of eco-responsible fashion items, Christel aims to revive textile know-how in the Tarn and revitalize the region. At the same time, she is working on other B2C and B2B projects to help companies improve their CSR approach.
