Michael DELANEY (TBS 2001) appointed by Boeing as Head of Aerospace Safety

We are delighted to announce that Boeing has appointed Michael DELANEY, former student from TBS Aeronautics MBA, to the position of Aerospace Safety Director!  

After a long time in engineering management, Michael DELANEY became the cornerstone in Boeing's campaign to reassure passengers on cabin safety during the Covid-19 pandemic. Today, his new position gives Michael broad control over internal safety initiatives and a seat on Boeing's Executive Committee.

What does his new position mean ?

Michael is in charge of aerospace safety for The Boeing Company and is a member of its Executive Committee

He is in charge of reinforcing safety practices and the safety culture at Boeing and he is to develop the global strategy for worldwide air safety for the company. His responsibilities include product and service safety, aerospace safety analysis, worldwide air safety systems and Boeing's initiative for passengers to fly confidently. The objective is the help the aeronautics industry regain passengers worldwide in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.  

The "Confident Travel" initiative brings together Boeing's huge resources to support airlines who are customers to test and implement new technology as well as joining forces with industrial associations to intensify modifications that will reassure passengers about their personal safety. 

A few words about his professional career 

Beforehand, Michael was Vice President in charge of digital transformation for commercial aircraft and managed the company's policies for safe passenger travel.  

Michael has a Bachelor's degree in aeospace engineering from Hofstra University and a master's in business administration from Toulouse Business School. He is also a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and member of the Aeronautics and Space Engineering Board.

Michael was one of our first students in the Master of Business Administration in Aeronautics at TBS (2000/2001) which gives proof to the quality of our aerospace programs !
