A new approach that only makes winners

Published by Anne LAFONT (TBS PROGRAMME GRANDE ECOLE, 1988) | N° 103 - La Tribu - English Version

Patrick Igon is present in several capacities in this article concerning Corpoworking .
First, as President of the TBS Alumni between 2000 and 2004, he willingly accepted to express himself in LA TRIBU.
Secondly, he has long presided over the destiny of Buro Club, a company that managed four business centres in Toulouse, which makes him an expert in the creation and management of places for companies.
And finally, as an elected representative of Fronton directly involved in the development of the area, he took an active part in the construction of the project. He is an enthusiastic defender of the project, believing that it is a virtuous circle that has been set up for the benefit of all its stakeholders: Employees, companies, and the region.

 Crisis & CRS

Patrick Igon (PGE TBS 1980)
Consultant and trainer in the field of quality and CSR. Municipal and community councillor of Fronton, delegated to economic development. Founding President of the Fronton Business Club.

Why did you become fully involved in the "making" of the Corpoworking Project?

As a local councillor in charge of economic development, I wanted the inhabitants of Fronton to benefit from the Corpoworking Project. The creation of this third-party place in our town can not only have a strong and positive impact on economic life of course, but also on local life. It is an enhancement of Fronton's image to welcome an innovative and intelligent experience and I think that all the inhabitants will be proud to prove the modernity of their town through this project. The presence of employees gathered in Fronton less than 15 minutes from their homes to work will be a lasting opportunity for local commerce and the entire socio-economic fabric. They will "live" more fully in the town which, in the end, is also theirs: 15 minutes is very close.

Finally, the scheme also plans to offer workspaces that may interest self-employed people who currently have no dedicated place to work. Real synergies will be created.

The creation of this third place in our city can not only have a strong and positive impact on economic life of course, but also local life as a whole.

How did you become involved in the project?

It was La Mêlée, another Action Logement partner, who put me in touch with Pierre Souloumiac, who oversees the project. I shared with him my experience of third places acquired with Buro Club and my knowledge of the economic model for these activities.

Then, when Fronton was identified as a potential site by the study among companies carried out by Action Logement , I worked with Pierre on the search for sites. I presented him with several locations that could accommodate this project.

The choice has not yet been made. We prefer existing sites to be rehabilitated. Our idea is to really integrate the project into the heritage of Fronton and to minimise its ecological footprint.

I won't say more, but we have some great ideas in this land of vines and wines.
